Preliminary research has been conducted to explore year-round operations of the business.
Based on discussions with the City of Loves Park Mayor and staff, architects, neighboring business owners, and potential vendors, the following concept is proposed for consideration . . . “Dairy Depot Coffee & Cream.” In addition, a prospective buyer of the business and building could consider applying for a restaurant liquor license.
The example floorplan above show how the existing layout of the 5413 and 5415 spaces could be modified to provide year-round, indoor service and seating. The existing layout shows how 5413 is used to operate the business through two service windows to outdoor customers, and a portion of 5415 is currently used for storage.
By creating a new opening between the two spaces, which was confirmed “easily doable” by an architect, business equipment and trade fixtures could be rearranged to add a additional service window to outdoor customers, which would improve perceptions about long lines during summer months. Year-round indoor service and seating could then be added in 5415.
Example product offerings could include:
The neighboring church is also interested in partnering with Dairy Depot to promote live music and food truck events to be held on the church property during summer months.
